Support Quarry Hill by volunteering or joining our non-profit friends group.

We have a number active projects in the park dealing with habitat restoration and storm water management.

A restored oak savanna is maintained with the help of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
Groups and volunteers also help to remove buckthorn and garlic mustard in other areas of the park.
In 2006, we held a Bio-Blitz 365. For an entire year we surveyed all the flora and fauna we could find, to come up with a comprehensive list for the park. Even though the bio-blitz had officially ended, we are still adding species to the list.
Recently, the City of Rochester implemented a bio-engineered solution to storm water run-off from the development just off the north end of the park. This has helped to stop the large amount of erosion that was occurring.
