Critter Sunday: American Kestrel
North America’s littlest falcon, the American Kestrel packs a predator’s fierce intensity into its small body. It's one of the most colorful of all raptors: Kestrels are declining in our area and conservationists are leading an effort to provide nesting boxes to attract mating pairs. Join a naturalist to learn about this effort and meet our captive American Kestrel up close.
Meet our wildest staff members! The animal residents at Quarry Hill are hardworking and with the help of a naturalist love to tell their story. Critter programs focus on the eating, sleeping and survival skills of an animal that calls Quarry Hill home. Enrollment is limited.
