Spring Break Nature Camp Gr. K-5, Mar 30 - 31

No homework required during this two-day mini camp for grades K-5. Spend your days off enjoying some good-natured fun with a Quarry Hill naturalist discovering the many signs of spring emerging in the park. Explorers, investigators, photographers - read on to see which camp is designed especially for your age group.

  • Advance registration is required. Register online.
  • Camp runs for two days - March 30 & March 31
  • Please dress for weather conditions - campers will by outdoors for the majority of the camp.
  • Campers should wear shoes that can get wet & muddy.
  • Small class sizes ensure hands-on participation for all campers.
  • Masks are recommended but not required when indoors. Updated Covid safety policies will be communicated prior to camp as needed.

Nature From the Ground Up for grades K-1 
9:00 - 11:30 am
Fee $60, $50 members 
Nature is below us, around us and above us.  Let’s explore it! Each day we will meet a live animal, create a nature themed craft, read a nature story, and go on a destination hike. From salamanders under our feet, to camouflaged creatures of the prairie and birds in the woods, get ready to experience it all. Dress to be outside and to get dirty!   

Critter Scene Investigator? for grades 2-3 
9:00 - 11:30 am
Fee $60, $50 members 
Be a C.S.I. agent and solve the mysteries taking place in the woods and pond at Quarry Hill. Learn to identify skulls, tracks, and other signs to uncover the unknown! Dress to be outside and to get dirty! 

Spring Nature Photography for grades 4-5
9:00 - 11:30 am
Fee $65, $55 members 
Join Quarry Hill staff to explore the great outdoors with camera in hand – searching to capture the essence of all things spring! Quarry Hill will provide the digital cameras and laptops for editing photos. Students will also be able to store photos on their own, Quarry Hill provided 4GB flash drive in order to take them home.
