Library - The Lions Den

The lions den libraryA donation in 1977 by Mrs. Florence Yeager in memory of her husband, Gordan Yeager, gave rise to our library devoted to nature. For many years it was located in a small upstairs room. However, Quarry Hill's visitation continued to grow as did our collection of adult and children books. A contribution from the Rochester Host Lions made it possible to add a larger room on to the main level of the Nature Center and the current library is now called the "Lions Den".

Public support did not stop there. Many books are donated in memory of loved ones and since 2006, the library resource is being supported by friends and family in memory of Jul Lea Ann Bailey. Artwork and furniture for the children's side of the library was made possible by a donation from the Beth Jungels' family in memory of Alex and
Brian Jungels. The "Lions Den" has become a favorite spot The childrens side of the libraryfor many
families to relax and read a story.

Anyone wishing to checkout books may do so at the front desk by providing a current address and phone number. Books may be checked out for 4 weeks. We ask that families limit the number of books to 6.
